Today they took the Chapter 6 quiz which covered solving equations as well as translating verbal equations. They were allowed to use a calculator and their notes. They also turned in their notes today.

Today they took the Chapter 6 quiz which covered solving equations as well as translating verbal equations. They were allowed to use a calculator and their notes. They also turned in their notes today.
I decided to give the classes their practice test today. This way on Monday we can talk about the practice test and make sure they understand how to do all the problems. On Monday night they’ll be able to make their 3X5 card and be ready to take the test on Tuesday. If they didn’t finish the practice test in class that is their homework for the weekend. Typically I attach the practice test, unfortunately it has graphs that I have hand drawn on their papers so I don’t have an online copy I can attach.
Today they took the chapter 6 practice quiz. They will be taking the chapter 6 quiz tomorrow and it’s worth 50 points. This will be the last thing on their 3rd term grade.
Today they worked on a worksheet that reviewed sections 7-1 & 7-2. As a reminder they will be testing on Chapter 7 on Tuesday. That will be the final thing to go on their 3rd term grade.
Today they had a substitute. They were to work on the chapter 6 review. It’s page 256; 12-36.

Today we did a review assignment. It is page 584 Lesson 6-4; 1-18. Most students were able to finish in class. Yesterday I forgot to post that we’re at a point where I’d like to stop and have the students take a mid-chapter test or we could call it a quiz. It’s going to be worth (more…)
Today we learned about finding the equation of line if given the slope and y-intercept or if they’re given the graph of the line so that they can look at it and find the slope and y-intercept. They’ll be (more…)
