Welcome to Mrs. Thorngren’s Amazing Blog
I am Mrs. Thorngren and this is my first year teaching at Snowcrest Junior High. I received my Associate’s Degree from Ricks College (aka BYU-Idaho), and my Bachelor’s from Utah State University. My major is in Business Education with a minor in Marketing and Japanese. I have previously taught business/marketing at Ogden High School and Stevens-Henager College. I was also a music teacher at Roosevelt Elementary and have t
aught private piano lessons for 8 years.
I am originally from Rigby, Idaho, the birthplace of television, and home of the Rigby Trojans, and the Trojan basketball dynasty - between 1977-1996 we won 7 state championships, 3 state runner-ups, and 2 third place titles. My husband is also a junior high teacher at T. H. Bell. We have 4 boys and 1 daughter - Drew, Ashlyn, Trace, Rhett, & Mitch.

At Snowcrest, I teach Keyboarding, Keyboarding Apps, Computer Technology, and CTE Intro. I hope to create in students a better understanding and knowledge-base of the business word because it is fascinating and the business classes students take will help them in every aspect of their lives!
I am also the Student Government Advisor. I have been involved in Student Government personally from high school to the college level. I have also been in leadership responsibilities in various business organizations from high school to the college level. I have enjoyed my time being involved and am glad to help pass that enjoyment on to the student body at Snowcrest.

You will find electronic versions of assignments, Power Points, and anything else that we are working on so if you are absent for any reason, please check my blog so you can get caught up.
